"One of my coworkers referred me to NeighborWorks Southern Colorado because they had helped her buy a house and she thought they might be able to help me too. I really didn’t believe that I would be qualified to buy a house for at least another two years. I met with Cynthia and she pulled my credit report and told me that I qualified to buy a house once I took care of a couple of collections on my credit report. I was surprised and excited that I would be able to buy a house so soon. Cynthia kept in contact with me and always encouraged me to keep working on getting the problems taken care of as soon as possible. When I needed a new lender I called her to ask for help. She gave me several names to choose from. I found a lender who could help me complete the purchase of my home. I can’t tell you how much I needed to have someone on my side encouraging and supporting me as I went through the home buying process. Cynthia encouraged me when I was struggling with my challenges with student loans. I was finally able to purchase my own home in August 2016. I think NWSoCo is an amazing organization; It is vital to my community in Pueblo and is a great resource for anyone in Southern Colorado going through the home buying process."
