Bessemer Mobile Food Pantry

Second Friday of Every Month @ 2pm. Volunteers encouraged to show up at 1pm.

NeighborWorks Southern Colorado is committed to working toward ending hunger in our community. We believe that access to healthy food is crucial for neighborhood development, and that no one facing hunger should feel bad about seeking help.

The Bessemer Mobile Food Pantry is managed by NeighborWorks Southern Colorado while the products are provided by Care and Share, who also provides food for several other pantries in our area. In an effort to improve the selection of product offered as well as providing additional services to our neighbors who may qualify, Care and Share is requiring that NeighborWorks ask for additional personal and demographic information including:

Name, DOB, and address of all household members.

Race, ethnicity, allergies, and household income.

Providing this information will not impact your ability to receive food from our food pantry and is used for informational purposes only.

We will begin asking for this information at the April pantry on 4/12/24. Please be prepared to arrive as early as 11:00am as the initial intake process may take 15-20 minutes per vehicle. Any future visits to our pantry will only require a 1-2 min check-in.

Please bring your ID or other personal item with a barcode that you will have with you on future visits to make this process quicker. (i.e. library card, store shoppers card, etc.)

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition and look forward to bringing you a more customized selection of food items.

If you are interested in volunteering or donating funds to ensure the continued operation of this food pantry, please reach out to us at 719-544-8078 or visit our website www.nwsoco.org/how-to-help/ for more information.
